General Midwifery Questions

What is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)?

A Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is a licensed healthcare provider trained in both nursing and midwifery. CNMs can provide prenatal care, attend births, offer postpartum support, and manage many reproductive health concerns. Dr. Whitney is also a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a certified functional medicine provider.

What areas do you serve?

We provide in-person home birth and pregnancy support across New Hampshire. Fertility services and consultations are available virtually for NH residents.

Fertility Support

What’s included in the Conceive with Clarity package?

This 5-month fertility program includes advanced testing (DUTCH, GI-MAP, bloodwork, male-factor analysis), cycle tracking, and personalized protocols. It’s built to uncover and address the root causes of infertility, even when past diagnoses were labeled “unexplained.”

Do you work with couples?

Yes. We assess both partners to provide a complete view of fertility health and design protocols accordingly.

Pregnancy Support

Can I use your pregnancy services if I’m not planning a home birth?

Absolutely. Our Hormones & Heartbeats package is designed for women who want holistic, midwife-led support during pregnancy but plan to give birth in a hospital or birth center.

What kinds of labs or supplements are involved?

Labs may include thyroid panels, progesterone, nutrient testing, and hCG trend monitoring. We guide clients on evidence-based supplements like iron, B complex, magnesium, and progesterone (if needed).

Home Birth

Is home birth safe?

For healthy, low-risk pregnancies, home birth with a qualified midwife is a safe and supported option. Dr. Whitney brings extensive experience in both clinical and home birth settings, with protocols in place for emergencies or hospital transfer if needed.

What’s included in the $11,200 home birth package?

Your investment includes prenatal care, labs, birth attendance, postpartum visits, breastfeeding support, and more. Optional add-ons (like a birth tub or placenta encapsulation) are also available.

Payments & Logistics

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Flexible payment plans are available for all services. We’re happy to discuss options during your discovery call.

Do you accept insurance?

We are currently private pay only. However, we can provide superbills upon request for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
